The Best Sunscreens for your Face

Wearing sunscreen is our number one skin care tip.

Sunscreens come in varying formulas so there is most certainly one to suit you. Physical sunscreens provide a physical barrier on the skin that reflects dangerous UV rays. Look out for the most commonly found ingredients like titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. Chemical sunscreens contain chemicals, which interact with and absorb ultraviolet energy. Both are effective at protecting your skin from UVAs and UVBs.

We recommend applying between ½ and 1 teaspoon of sunscreen on your face every morning. If you have any left over, apply the sunscreen to the back of your neck and hands. We also suggest re-applying sunscreen throughout the day to really protect your skin.

Why wear sunscreen?

Sun Protection

One of the most notable benefits of sunscreen is that it protects your skin against the sun's broad spectrum of harmful UV rays. Even the mildest of sunburns can have damaging effects so it is important to protect your skin at all times.

Sunscreen is just that.. a screen to protect your skin against the sun. It minimises the penetration of UV rays with its SPF shield.

Reduce Cancer Risk

Melanoma. That scary word we never want to find ourselves in battle with. Fortunately, sunscreen is very effective in reducing the risk of developing a variety of skin cancers. Melanoma is a type of skin cancer known to be extremely aggressive and can even be life-threatening. It is essential to educate from an early age so get your kids into the habit of applying sunscreen!

Sunscreen Helps Protect Against Ageing Skin

Who doesn’t want youthful, radiant, and healthy-looking skin? Overexposure to sunlight can increase the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and you need to be starting young to protect rather than regret! Using sunscreen can help defend against the harmful effects of premature aging and long-lasting damage.

Create An Even Complexion

Using sunscreen on your face and neck helps to keep your complexion even. Sun damage is one of the many causes of uneven skin tones and pigmentation so keep the sunscreen handy.

Healthy Skin

Keep the skin's appearance and function strong by applying sunscreen to protect the skin's proteins and keratin.
