How to achieve a sun-kissed glow (no sun tanning required)

We all know that healthy summer glow – you know the one where the stresses of work are behind you, the days are long, beauty routines are low maintenance and we all have that summer spring in our steps. Now the cooler days are upon us, we can create that glow from within – no sunshine required. Here’s our guide to glowing up…

Glow from the Inside Out

A healthy glow does indeed come from the inside out. This starts with a healthy and balanced diet. You may also like to supplement vitamins such as vitamin C or collagen to give your appearance that extra boost of tender, loving care. And make sure you drink your water.

Exfoliate

Exfoliation is a great way to up your glow, especially as the temperatures drop. This will work to remove dead skin cells, reduce roughness and smoothen skin for a lovely glowing complexion. Exfoliation is also super important before self-tanning to help get an even colour coverage. We are loving the Mocha Body Polish by Indie + May made with natural pumice and coffee beans to awaken and smooth your skin, as well as our Lalicious range of sugar body scrubs.

Use a Serum

Serums are the super-powered skincare step. They work to lock in hydration, and provide direct nutrients deep into the skin without being heavy. One ingredient you might like to look for in particular is hyaluronic acid. This is a substance that naturally occurs in the body but supports supple skin by binding to water and retaining moisture as it does so. The Lira Clinical BIO Hydra Infusion is "mega hydrator" that combines hyaluronic acid with silver ear mushroom extract, which amplifies the water-binding capacity by five times.

Moisturise

Moisturiser is an absolute must for a natural glow. Having a good layer of moisturiser not only keeps your skin happy and healthy, it helps create a lovely and radiant complexion. The Lira Clinical BIO Caiviar Creme hydrates skin with a balanced combination of water and lipid soluble products, and the Lira Clinical MYSTIQ iLuminating Beauty Oil is infused with exclusive Mastiha Oil, Madonna Lily Plant Stem Cells, and Vitamin C for nourished and luminous results. For your whole body, you might like to try Voesh Body Balm – the featherlight texture absorbs instantly for lasting hydration and mood-lifting fragrance with every touch.

Do a Weekly Skin Treatment

A weekly skin treatment is a great opportunity to give yourself a pamper session. It’s also a great idea to stimulate your skin. The GINGER&ME Skin Chill Globes make use of Cool Factor to contact and dilate blood vessels to increase blood flow and circulation to leave skin looking vibrant. A rose quartz roller and gua set is also a great option for giving yourself a facial massage which will help to stimulate skin and give you a glowing appearance.

Treat Yourself In-Clinic

We have a range of wonderful in-clinic treatments that will help to up your glow. Right now we are loving The Glass Skin Facial which includes dermaplaning, a gentle exfoliation technique that removes dead skin and fine vellus hair, instantly refining texture and enhancing product absorption. Next our Lira Clinical VitaBrite Peel works to brighten, even tone, and rejuvenate dull or tired skin without irritation leaving a natural, healthy glow. To complete the transformation, LED light therapy is applied to calm, repair, and stimulate collagen production. The result is a hydrated, radiant finish so clear and polished it mimics the look of glass.
