The best skin gadgets you need in your tool kit

Everyone needs a tool kit. No we’re not talking about hammers and screwdrivers and the likes, we are talking about something much more practical – a skincare toolkit. Technology in the skincare world is continuously advancing and we are here for it. Here’s our guide to our favourite gadgets to add to your arsenal.

O-Sonic Cleansing Brush

This handy-dandy cleansing brush harnesses the power of sonic pulsations and silicone fibre touchpoints to revolutionise how we clean our skin. With soft silicone touchpoint fibres, the brushes pulses more than 8000 times a minute to stimulate bloody supply and remove dead skin cells, resulting in smooth, supple skin. This is a great addition to your skincare routine that provides a deep gentle cleanse while supporting healthy skin function and age management control. This particular brush is also 35% more hygienic than other cleansing brushes on the market. It also has a smooth side which can be used on low frequency to lessen the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

LightStim LED

Most people know the term LED from laser hair removal. What is a little less known is the power LED has to transform the appearance of our skin. LED light stimulates blood flow to the dermis layer of the skin, resulting in an increase in production of collagen and elastin – two of the main building blocks for great skin. LightStim uses the latest LED and Multi-Wave technology combined with potent peptides to clarify, smooth and firm skin. This handheld device can be used at home and is a great choice for levelling up your skincare routine.

Ginger&Me Chill Globes

Recent innovations in skin technology have seen the arrival of chill globes. We all know ice works in terms of injury and recovery. When it comes to our faces, cool temperatures also help to reduce puffiness and redness, shrink pore size and accelerate blood flow. Chill globes provide a safe way to chill skin at home and get a radiant glow. The Ginger&Me chill globes are a great choice for increasing blood flow, tightening pores, reducing under eye puffiness and giving skin a lovely glow while also helping to improve product penetration.

Collagen

Collagen is the new superfood of skincare, but it's no stranger to our bodies. Collagen is a protein that makes up the structure of our cells and tissues. Our body naturally produces collagen, which decreases as we age. Collagen can be supplemented to help build and safeguard collagen for supple and younger looking skin. The Advanced Nutrition Collagen contains vitamin C, zinc, MSM, grapeseed and melon extract as well as collagen to help boost beauty from the inside out.

Gua Sha

Gua sha is a traditional Chinese healing method that involves the use of a smooth-edged tool (made of semi-precious stone) in smooth motions over the skin. The practice of gua sha can assist with lymphatic drainage, help reduce acne, lessen the visibility of scarring, soften wrinkles and fine lines by relaxing the facial muscles and tissues, sculpting jawlines and cheekbones and reducing puffiness. To use a gua sha at home, we recommend you use the tool with water or oil to help it glide across  the skin. Hold your gua sha with the curved side to your face acnd gently glide it starting with downward strokes on the neck. Next move to the jawline, chin and mouth area with short strokes in one direction. Delicately strokes under the eyes to de-puff, then finish with small sideways strokes over the brow bone.
